DUNO AND VANN JOINED BY POMPIDOU FOR PETIT

October 10, 2002 Road Atlanta, GA - Milka Duno and Laguna and Miami Chamberlain teammate Christian Vann will be joined by Frenchman Xavier Pompidou for the Audi presents Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta October 10-12.

This is Milka's third race this season with team owner Hugh Chamberlain and as well with British driver Vann. Together with Pompidou they will pilot the #27 Dome S-101/Judd through the 12-turn 2.54-mile road course here at Road Atlanta. Duno and Pompidou both raced together here in 2000 with Chamberlain's Viper effort.

"I really like the track here and look forward to my third race in the Dome," said Duno. "I'm also very happy to race again with Xavier. We've made a lot of progress sorting out the Dome and the teamwork from the crew has been exceptional. I'm hoping for a really good result."

"It's a different circuit and its 30 degrees cooler - so I'm happy about that," said Chamberlain. "We've got a slightly different driver line-up due to the longer race - we'll now hit the track with 3 drivers. Xavier Pompidou will be joining the team for this race and he's very experienced. He's driven here in a Ferrari 333 with the Risi squad and he's a very quick guy. It will be very interesting to see how he does in the Dome and I look forward to having him here with us. We've discovered the problem that plagued us last week in Miami - it was a broken wire in the electrics - which is why the car wasn't charging properly. We're very happy about that. All in all, we're quietly confident that we'll do well here. Our objective, of course, is to get a damned sight closer to the front than we have been before. We hope to get into the 1:15's. We hope maybe to even be closer than that -we'll get there eventually."
