Milka Duno: Café do Brasil Indy 300 HOMESTEAD, FL (October 2, 2010) – Milka Duno finished 24th in tonight’s Café do Brasil Indy 300 at Homestead-Miami Speedway in Homestead, FL. Duno started the 200-lap race in 27th and quickly advanced five positions by the 7th lap. Fighting understeer the team worked to correct the problem with each pit stop. During a green flag pit stop Duno went down a few laps due to hitting a misplaced tire in the pit in front of hers - while she was trying to enter her pit - which caused a substantial loss of time while making her pit stop. With approximately 25 laps remaining in the race Duno caught some dirty air and lost grip in the front of the car and slid up and into the wall. “As we have for all of our races this year we worked really hard for a good result here,” commented Duno. “We’ve been doing a great job improving our times from session to session especially with the last half of the season – but we just weren’t able to make as much of an improvement here between the sessions. I had a good start but then started having a problem with understeer and then I lost the air in the front and it was the end of the race for us.” About Dale Coyne Racing About CITGO About CANTV For more information on Milka please visit www.milkaduno.com ____________________________ |
