MILKA DUNO: INDY GRAND PRIX OF ALABAMA LOS ANGELES, CA (April 8, 2010) – IZOD IndyCar Driver Milka Duno will compete in her third race of the 2010 IndyCar Series Championship season at the Indy Grand Prix of Alabama at Barber Motorsports Park this Sunday, April 11, 2010. The race will be televised live on Versus at 3pm EDT. This will be Duno’s first competition on the 2.38-mile, 17-turn, 45’-wide road course in an Indy car. She has seen competition at Barber in a Rolex Series Daytona Prototype with a best finish of 6th. There will be two practice sessions on Friday, April 9, with qualifying scheduled for Saturday, April 10 from 9:20-10:50am EDT. “This will be the third of four tracks starting this season that I have not yet raced on in an Indy car and the learning curve remains very steep for the start of my first full season,” said Duno. “I haven’t yet raced on this track in this car, but I do know that we’ll be working very hard to deliver a good result and gain much-needed experience on a road course. There’s quite a bit of difference between an Indy car and the Rolex Series Daytona Prototypes and American Le Mans Series Le Mans Prototypes that I’ve had success with in the past. It’s just going to take some time.” Milka drives the No.18 CITGO/CANTV car with Dale Coyne Racing.
