MILKA DUNO TO SPEAK AT MIAMI’S ST. ALBAN’S CHILD ENRICHMENT CENTER

LOS ANGELES, CA (October 4, 2009) – Through her “Milka Way” program, IndyCar driver and Miami resident Milka Duno will speak to approximately 200 children, parents and staff at St. Albans Child Enrichment Center this Monday, October 5, 2009 from 9:30 – 11:30am. Duno will also take pictures with the children and their parents, sign autographs and donate tickets for a group of children and their parents to attend her race next weekend.

A two-time winner at her “home track” – Homestead-Miami Speedway – Duno will be competing in the season finale of the 2009 IndyCar Series Championship at Homestead-Miami Speedway this Saturday, October 10.

The mission of St. Alban's Child Enrichment Center is to provide courteous, convenient, comprehensive and quality services for children and families. St. Alban's was incorporated in 1949 as St. Alban's Day Nursery by concerned members of the Coconut Grove community to provide childcare to pre-school aged children of working mothers.

Duno is a qualified Naval Engineer with four master's degrees - in Organizational Development, Naval Architecture, Aquaculture and Maritime Business – earning the last three degrees simultaneously. Through her “Milka Way” program Duno strives to inspire children and young adults to “Aim for the Stars” and achieve academic excellence and has taken this message to schools across the USA and around the world to help motivate children and help them understand the importance and value of education.

The race weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway will also feature the season finale of the Rolex Series. It was in this series that Duno scored two historic wins at Homestead-Miami Speedway. With her first win at the Miami circuit Milka became the first woman in history to win a major international sports car race in North America. Seven months later at the scheduled 2nd Rolex race of the season at Homestead-Miami Speedway – Duno scored her 2nd Rolex victory.

Duno competes in the IndyCar Series with Dreyer & Reinbold Racing in the #23 CITGO-sponsored car.
