Duno 17th at Madison International Speedway

MADISON, WI. (August 26, 2012) – In her second ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards competition Duno took the checkered flag in 17th out of a field of 29 entries. The start of the Herr's Live Life with Flavor! 200, originally scheduled to start at 3:00 p.m. ET, was delayed due to rain and eventually went green at approximately 6:30 p.m. ET.

Duno qualified for the scheduled 200 lap/100 mile race in 19th and for her third race in a row delivered a best-lap during the race that was quicker than her qualifying speed.

With a combination of Duno adapting to the track, and adjustments made to the car by the crew during pit stops, Duno was able to increase her speed throughout the race and delivered lap times close to the leaders - especially during the last quarter of the race.

In what would end up being a 208-lap race due to 2 “green-white-checker” periods Duno crossed the finish line and took the green flag in 17th.

“We’ve been able to progress and increase our speed under race conditions for many of our races and that shows that we’re heading in the right direction,” said Duno. “We’ve done well at increasing our speed over the practice and qualifying sessions as well. That’s all real good – but with only a limited time to do this at the track – we’re working hard to arrive at the track stronger and then to make positive adjustments quicker during the practice sessions and qualifying so that we’re delivering speeds closer to the top for the start of the race.”

“This was only Milka’s second start at this track and our first as a new team, said team owner and crew chief David Leiner. “We’re an effort with an enormous competitive spirit and we are all working very hard to advance up the ladder. We’re making progress toward that goal with each and every race.”
