Milka Duno 16th at Iowa Speedway NEWTON, Iowa (July 14, 2012) – Milka Duno did break in to the top-fifteen in her No. 94 Milka Way Toyota in last night’s ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards Prairie Meadows 200 at Iowa Speedway but took the checkered flag in 16th at the end of the 202 lap race. Advancing as high as 14th in the last quarter of the race Duno was looking at a top-fifteen finish when uninitiated contact with a competitor spun her around and brought out the 6th caution of the race and a trip to the pits. With less than 20 laps remaining in the race Duno fought back hard and crossed the finish line in 16th. “It was a fairly uneventful race for the first 75 laps and then there were 7 cautions before the race ended,” said Duno. “We started 22nd and pretty much stayed there until the first caution – but from then on we were making really good progress and advancing through the field until I was spun around. Up until then we were definitely looking at a top-fifteen finish. Going from a starting position of 22nd up to 14th was great but losing two spots at the end was very disappointing.” “This was our second race as a new effort,” said team owner and crew chief David Leiner. “Milka did really well and if not for some misfortune would have had a very solid top-fifteen finish. “We’ll be working really hard in the time we have before our race next Saturday at Chicagoland and we’ll be looking for a good result there.” # # # About Milka Duno:
