Milka Duno Leads Final Practice at Talladega Superspeedway TALLADEGA, Ala. (April 15, 2011) – Milka Duno proved she will be a driver to watch when the green flag drops on the 3 Amigos 250 at Talladega Superspeedway. Duno and her Sheltra Motorsports team led the way in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards final practice session Friday morning. With weather threatening, the final practice for the ARCA Racing Series got underway Friday morning. Duno took to the track during the drafting session and completed 12 laps around the 2.66-mile superspeedway. The Venezuelan-native led the way, putting her CITGO SUPERGARD Toyota on top of the leaderboard with a time of 52.064 seconds (183.927 mph). “The guys gave me a great car and this is the result of that,” said Duno. “I think we have a very good, competitive car for the race, but I also think it will be a very tough and intense race. The next step is the race, and we know now that the car is very good.” With a strong car all weekend long, leading the final practice session left Duno and her Sheltra Motorsports team confident for the start of the 3 Amigos 250. “I am really happy with how the car drafted in the final practice,” said Crew Chief Jon Wolfe. “Milka continues to improve and get more confidence and knowledge every time she goes on the race track. We are really looking forward to the race tomorrow. We are going to have a good day.” Threatening skies finally gave in just before the drop of the green flag Friday afternoon forcing ARCA Racing Series officials to reschedule the 3 Amigos 250 to Saturday, April 16 at 8:00 a.m. CDT.
