Milka Duno to Appear on OnDIRECTV’s Un Loco en América with Jesús Quintero
Interview Will Air Throughout Latin America This Thursday, March 28 onDIRECTV Channel 201

Los Angeles, Ca. (March 26, 2013) – Professional race car driver Milka Duno will appear this Thursday, March 28 on OnDIRECTV’s Un Loco en America with Jesus Quintero. The program will air throughout Latin America OnDIRECTV’s channel 201.

Duno, the most successful female race car driver in the world today, is making a transition from IndyCar racing to stock car racing with the goal of becoming the first Latin American woman in history to compete in the most popular racing series in the United States – NASCAR.

Toward that historical goal Duno is competing in her first full stock car racing season in the 2013 ARCA Series Championship. In her first race of the 2013 season at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida she was 2nd fastest in practice, 2nd fastest in qualifying and started the race in the front row. At the start Duno jumped into 1st before the first lap had been completed and led the first 11 laps of the race until the first caution period. It was the first time that Duno led an ARCA Series race and the first time that a Latin American female driver has led a race in ARCA’s 60-year history.

In 2007, Duno was the first Latin American female driver to qualify for and compete in the world famous Indianapolis 500 – in its now 101-year history. She competed in the IndyCar Series for three partial seasons and qualified and competed in the Indianapolis 500 for three years in a row. Milka is the highest finishing female driver (2nd place) and highest finishing Latin American female driver in the now 51-year history of the legendary 24 Hours at Daytona. Duno became the first Venezuelan athlete to be inducted into the Latin American International Sports Hall of Fame at their 35th Anniversary Induction Ceremony in January, 2010.

Jesus Quintero has interviewed more than 5,000 people throughout his career and has earned the most important awards in journalism at the international level for his talk show with the great personalities of the Hispanic world.
